24 weeks and growing

Kai is 24 weeks now and growing like a weed. She's about 50 lbs and still has lots of her "puppy wiggle skin". She is getting along wonderfully with the other two K girls and no longer runs when they bark at something. She stands her ground now and watches!!! I suppose she should be going to puppy class but it had been postponed because my favorite trainer did not have any classes at the time. But we have since spoken about doing one on one, for the same cost and using her dogs as distractions. I'm thinking this will work, but one never knows. She's learning quickly and responds pretty well. I admit I'm not as strict with my dogs as I used to be and she's gotten a tad wild. I realize I have to stop that and get serious, but over all she really is a well behaved dog. I can leave her loose in the bedroom at night now, with little fear that she will get into something. And in fact, she rarely touches things that are not hers anymore. I have tested her loose in the house for very short burts of 10 to 15 minutes. Within the learning process, she has finally learned the bird is NOT her next meal and no longer stares longingly when Chulo flaps his wings! This is a great victory, despite my being loathe to test this when not in the room!
