Kai at 2 1/2

Kai is now fully grown....and a big girl, though skinny as all get out. She has fit into the household very well. She is the gentlest dog i've ever had. I'm also not sure i've had a dog as intelligent as her, after almost 2 weeks of trying to teach my other two dogs to go through the new "dog door"....Kai decided to help. She herself had some reservations about it but after the 4th or 5th day, was now flying through and loving she no longer had to ring the door bells. Noting my frustration with the other two, I was stunned to watch her teach my little Kabuki. Gently, and calmly, she showed Kabuki how to push the plastic flap and go through the door. If that wasn't enough, she then taught Kobi, my old girl. Today, they have taken her lead...and all run in and out "the flap", thanks to Kai! More on Kai later.
